My name is Adekunle A. Afolabi, studied BSc. Accounting (Babcock University, Nigeria), MSc. Management (The University of Salford, UK.) and Data Analytics (Resa Data Bootcamp). Performed different roles across the business sector over the years as an entrepreneur and business manager. I am always curious about data, willing to embrace new challenges as well as learning new skills that can be used to provide insight and solutions to the challenges in the business environments.

If you could visualize your life story as a data dashboard, what key metrics would you track to showcase your growth?

This will involve looking at various aspects that will highlight continuous personal achievements and development. Metrics to be used will include Goals set vs Targets achieved, Personal Growth (such as educational and professional certifications), Career successes vs Job roles, Health, Relationships and Interests/Hobbies.

What's a data-related challenge you've faced that felt like cracking a complex code?

This will have to be creating DAX functions in Microsoft Power BI. A great deal of time was spent studying this topic over and again using the Data Bootcamp resources together with other various online materials to practice. Afterwards, each time I solved DAX function problems it feels like cracking another puzzle.

What was your favourite thing about the Resa Data Bootcamp?

The most outstanding aspect will have to be the opportunity to participate and work on real-life projects either as individual projects, group or guided projects. These experiences allowed me to apply the skills learnt in a practical setting, reinforces my understanding as well as helped to build a portfolio that can be showcased to potential employers.
