Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer
Job Description
A semi-routine facilities maintenance role supporting data center infrastructure operations at Equinix Nigeria.
What you will be doing?
- Perform preventative maintenance checks and semi-routine repairs on non-critical facility components including plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems
- Monitor Building Monitoring System (BMS) alarms and respond according to standard operating procedures
- Coordinate with vendors on maintenance activities and support work order approval processes while ensuring compliance with Equinix standards
Who You Are
- 1-4 years of equivalent work experience in facilities or infrastructure maintenance
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering degree or related field required
- Able to follow established procedures, work semi-independently on routine tasks, and assist senior staff on complex projects
