Data Privacy & Protection Officer
Job Description
Support the Director of Data Privacy & Protection in implementing and maintaining Moniepoint MFB's data protection framework in compliance with Nigerian data protection regulations.
What you will be doing?
- Develop, implement, and monitor adherence to data privacy policies, procedures, and controls including NDPA 2023 and CBN regulations
- Coordinate responses to Data Subject Access Requests and manage data protection impact assessments for new products and systems
- Support data breach incident management, regulatory reporting to NDPC, and third-party vendor compliance monitoring
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 4-6 years of experience in data protection, compliance, or cybersecurity in financial services
- Sound knowledge of NDPA 2023, NDPC Regulations, CBN IT Standards, and global frameworks like GDPR with professional certifications (CIPP/E, CDPO, CIPM preferred)
- Strong analytical and communication skills with excellent attention to detail, ethical standards, and ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
