Afrobeats Music Video Prediction Tool

This is a research project by Resagratia following months of data collection, engineering and analysis from Youtube and Spotify.

The overarching goal was to understand the viewing patterns of Afrobeats music videos from the date they are published and extract attributes that contribute to view count. We considered daily viewership retention and song attributes.

Another objective is to look at how benchmarks can be set for Afrobeats music video viewing patterns and identify deviations in viewership retention.

We have presented here a Prediction Tool which can be used to forecast the expected views of a particular music video. The model weights are refreshed every week to improve accuracy.

Note: The scale of the prediction chart might change with the music video selected.
